Online games... no longer feel the same. It’s becoming harder and harder to genuinely enjoy them because constant arguments and toxic behavior make the experience exhausting.
Take competitive games like Counter-Strike 2, for example. Players often cheat, and whether you’re right or wrong, someone will insult you anyway. The atmosphere becomes hostile so quickly that the game itself stops being fun.
On the other hand, games like VRChat show a different but equally aggressive side of online culture. Many people seem angry, unhappy, rude, or outright abusive. Some even create unnecessary drama for no reason at all.
Another example is Roblox. I stopped playing Roblox in 2020 because I couldn’t handle the growing toxicity from younger players. Now, the platform feels filled with unpleasant behavior, and yes, many of the people acting this way are very young. It often feels like kindness barely exists there anymore.
Back in 2013, Roblox was completely different. I used to make friends with almost everyone I met. Conversations felt natural, friendly, and healthy. There were hardly any arguments, and people actually enjoyed being around each other.
Sometimes it feels like these people are NPCs programmed to be cruel. But then again… maybe the real tragedy is humanity’s failure to show kindness to its own kind.
